Position Summary:  

The Vice President of Ticket Strategy (the VP) will be the second-in-command within the Ticket Sales & Service Department. This role is pivotal in driving ticket sales' strategic direction and operational efficiency. The VP will be instrumental in optimizing team performance, leveraging cutting-edge technology, and developing innovative ticketing products. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is a key aspect of successfully driving impact in this role, ensuring a cohesive approach to market strategies, customer insights, and technological advancements. Equally today and in the years to come, the organization aims to serve as the industry leader in innovation and the evolution of the sports business, with the VP playing a vital and influential role in the realization of that goal. This is a full-time role based out of the Clippers office in Downtown Los Angeles.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary influencer in sales efficiency, team structure, and operational procedures in collaboration with the Head of Ticket Sales and Service.

  • Lead and develop the Ticket Sales & Service department including, but not limited to pricing strategies, product mix, campaign strategy, planning, and single-game ticket initiatives.

  • Define departmental and product revenue goals, budgeting, and structure & labor planning.

  • Develop performance evaluation metrics/KPI’s & tracking for the salesforce and service lines.

  • Build and lead strong, direct relationships with Marketing, Advertising, and Customer Insights teams to enhance ticket sales strategies.

  • Extend departmental influence to encompass and drive further organizational innovation and industry leadership across all product sales, including streaming services and merchandise.

  • Partner with Business Intelligence (BI), Technology, and Emerging Tech groups, spearheading and utilizing technological advancements to further sales strategies and drive operational efficiency.

  • Extend successful consumer sales strategies to assist the Premium Sales and Partnerships teams, leveraging technology and sales efficiency methods.

  • Play a crucial role in the management and strategic direction of the ticket sales Profit & Loss (P&L) account.

  • Contribute to broader executive decisions related to Intuit Dome and other organizational objectives as a member of the extended leadership team.

Qualifications:  

  • Ability to manage a team while creating, presenting, and executing a strong strategic vision.

  • Strong leadership abilities and exceptional motivational skills.

  • Analyze and execute new initiatives based on understanding of industry market trends.

  • Experience presenting sales material to large groups of clients or partners.  

  • Demonstrated dedication with the ability to lead projects from origin through execution.

  • Effective oral and written interpersonal skills.

  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including weeknights, select weekends, and holidays.

  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit with hands-on approach towards business.

  • Capacity to learn, contribute and thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.

  • 7+ years spent successfully leading teams.  

Salary:  

  • $175,000 - $225,000 annual base salary compensation plus opportunity for bonus.  

  • The role is classified as exempt.
